Practical Strategies for Assessment in the Age of AI
October 29, 2:00-3:00
Presenter: Heather Breittholz
Generative AI is changing how faculty think about assessment design, academic integrity, and student learning. This interactive workshop provides practical assessment strategies across the full spectrum of AI use, from courses where AI is not used to courses where AI is intentionally integrated into learning activities and assessments. Participants will explore the advantages and challenges of different approaches, and leave with adaptable strategies that fit their own course policies and teaching preferences.
Objectives:
1. Discuss the benefits and limitations of assessment strategies as related to AI.
2. Recognize the range of approaches for adapting assessments in response to generative AI.
3. Identify opportunities and boundaries for using AI in your course assessment strategies.
