    When International Law Meets Geopolitics: A Diplomat’s Perspective on Sovereignty, Law, and International Relation

    Jagdish Koonjul, Former Mauritian Ambassador to the United Nations, is coming to UConn on Thursday, November 5 from 2:30-4:30 in Gentry 144 to discuss the Chagos Archipelago and the broader diplomatic and legal questions surrounding its future. A longtime Mauritian diplomat and former President of the UN Security Council, Koonjul has spent much of his career on these topics and will offer a firsthand perspective on how states navigate complex territorial disputes.
