Universal Design is an approach that says products and environments should be accessible to the widest range of people possible, regardless of ability or disability. When applied to learning spaces, Universal Design asks us to critically evaluate and eliminate barriers to learning. This introduction to Universal Design for Learning (UDL) will focus on the concepts of usability and access and provide practical tips for implementing a UDL approach to your classrooms, labs, workshops and consultations.
