The Auditory Perception and Neuroscience Lab is currently recruiting children aged 8-17
years old with normal hearing for a research study on central auditory processing in
children.
The purpose of this research study is to understand better how auditory
processing, hearing, and cognitive abilities contribute to listening performance in school-age children.
To be eligible, participants must be between 8 and 17 years of age and have hearing within normal limits.
The current study may take up to 6 hours to complete and will be conducted across
multiple sessions of approximately 3 hours each. Testing is divided across multiple
sessions to minimize participant fatigue, maintain attention and engagement, and reduce
participant burden while ensuring completion of the full testing battery.
Participants will complete:
• Demographic Survey
• Hearing assessments
• Physiological assessments
• Auditory processing assessments
• Auditory electrophysiological testing
• Cognitive testing
Participants will be compensated up to $150.
