UConn Child Labs https://childlabs.uconn.edu/ provides full day childcare and early education on the Storrs campus for children 6 weeks to 5 years old, open 10 months a year. Young children and UConn students learn alongside one another under the guidance and direct supervision of the Child Labs professional teaching staff. Child Labs provides emergent curriculum, meeting the individual needs of young children in a play/exploration based environment. Social emotional learning is the primary focus in all age groups. Child Labs aligns emergent curriculum with the state of CT Early Learning and Development Standards. Preschoolers spend the majoity of their school day learning outside in nature.
