After 41 years with the UConn Library, Dave Avery will retire on July 30.
Dave began his library career as a UConn undergraduate and went on to play a key role in shaping the library through decades of innovation and service. His contributions include developing early digital collections, leading major facility renovations, and expanding student-centered services such as technology lending and study spaces. Throughout his career, Dave has held a variety of roles, including Director of the Avery Point Library, and has been a dedicated mentor and colleague known for his “students first” philosophy.
Please join us in celebrating Dave’s remarkable career at a retirement reception on Thursday, July 23, from 3–5 p.m. in the Heritage Room in Homer Babbidge Library.
