    This is a temporary, 6-month position on Special Payroll with an anticipated start date of mid-October 2026.

    Due to the special nature of this appointment, there is no guarantee of continuing service beyond the specified end date. Please be aware that there may be circumstances that could necessitate ending authorization earlier.

    Anticipated schedule/other information:

    • Hybrid and flexible schedule possible 
    • Up to 35 hours per week
    • Must be available on Thursdays 9am-11am for a mandatory meeting (can be virtual)
    • Hourly rate of $47.00

     Position Summary

    Working under the direction of the Associate Director of Student Care and Concern, the Case Manager will provide case management for students identified through the University’s Student Care Team (Care Team) and manage cases by assessing threat and providing support and intervention.

     Duties and Responsibilities

    • Provide comprehensive case management and related support services for students and their families on a wide variety of adjustment, distress, and trauma issues, which includes, but is not limited to, assessing issues of concern for students, developing tailored mitigation plans, and conducting follow-up to determine the success of and/or the need for additional referrals or interventions
    • Implement and adhere to standard case management, ensure compliance with Care Team procedures and best practices by tracking and monitoring students in distress and maintaining real time student records in applicable tracking tools. Recommend changes or improvements to processes consistent with the Care Team’s goals.
    • Prepare reports to support the work of the Care team, Behavioral Assessment Oversight Committee, and similar university groups; provide support for administrative functions and information tracking
    • Collaborate with members of the student Care team, faculty, and University staff to establish and maintain positive working relationships.
    • Serve as a primary point of contact and resource for students, faculty, and staff, to address concerns, respond to inquiries, and provide outreach and follow up utilizing Maxient (case management system), email, and phone.
    • Create and deliver training to colleagues/campus partners on issues related to threat assessment and care team.
    • Provide administrative and technical support on department wide projects
    • Perform other related work

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree and three years of related work experience
    • Experience working independently and regularly exercising judgment regarding a wide variety of administrative matters
    • Experience in the sensitivity required when interacting with, supervising, and addressing the needs of a diverse community
    • Demonstrated experience in areas of crisis and risk management, threat assessment, behavioral intervention, and community standards
    • Experience exercising discretion in handling highly confidential information and working with time sensitive materials

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Five (5) or more years of professional experience, including 3-5 years of progressively responsible roles in higher education
    • Demonstrated experience in case management, including assessing concerns and developing mitigation plans
    • Demonstrated experience conducting threat assessments
    • Demonstrated experience using the Maxient System for case management
    • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
