UConn FIRST and the Tolland County Robotics Foundation will be running 6 FLL Challenge (middle school robotics teams) in Fall 2026, including 2 teams on UConn's campus! Applications are open to any student in grades 5th-8th for the 2026-27 school year and are due June 20th. Applications and more information can be found on our website here: tcrobotics.org/fll-challenge. Email amanda.billingslea@uconn.edu with any questions.
FIRST LEGO League Challenge: Friendly competition is at the heart of Challenge, as teams of students engage in research, problem-solving, coding, and engineering—building and programming a LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Prime robot that navigates the missions of a robot game. They also participate in a research project to identify and solve a relevant real-world problem.
Tolland County Robotics Foundation: The Tolland County Robotics Foundation is a nonprofit that inspires K-12 students to be leaders and innovators by engaging them in exciting mentor-based robotics programs that foster well-rounded life capabilities including teamwork, self-confidence, and leadership.
