Early Arrival Information Fall 2026
- There will be an Early Arrival Process for groups and individual students. There will be a limit for the group early arrival days and please understand that requests for specific days may not be approved. Approvals will depend on the nature of the request, total number of students requested and department/office contribution to welcoming and supporting student arrival.
- Early Arrival check-in location will be in the Charter Oak Community Center.
- May 29 – June 10: requests for student early arrivals submitted. The form will be live as of 8:30 AM on May 29.
- June 11-16: request decision provided by committee. Those approved will be given access to a teams channel where rosters will be submitted and communicated with via email of the approval.
- June 22: Rosters due for approved groups
- June 26: Group Early Arrival confirmation form open. All students listed on a group roster will be required to confirm their involvement in the program via a confirmation form in their myhousing portal.

- July 30: Group Early Arrival Confirmation Form Due 11:59 PM
- Aug 19: Requested students will receive an email from Campus Housing with check-in instructions.

Early Arrival Program Organizer:
- The organizer is a professional staff member (non-student staff) responsible for submitting requests for student early arrivals and managing communication with the corresponding students.
- Organizer must submit web form starting May 29 using the following link: Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) | Campus Housing. Please scroll to the bottom of the page to find the form.
- Please provide group information and reason for students needing to arrive to campus early. Information should include how this office/department contributes to welcoming students (hosting an event or program, providing support during move in days, etc.)
- Late submissions and late additions will not be accepted. A firm deadline is necessary to effectively designate all student early arrivals, send communication and organize keys for their arrival.
