Research, Funding, and Awards

  • SHARE Summer 2026 Award Recipients Announced

Congratulations to the 43 UConn undergraduates selected to receive SHARE Summer Awards!

These outstanding students will spend the summer collaborating with 21 UConn faculty mentors on research or creative projects in social sciences, humanities, or arts disciplines.

We extend our sincere thanks to the 21 faculty mentors whose dedication and guidance make these experiences possible. By providing mentorship and meaningful learning opportunities, faculty help SHARE Summer Award recipients develop essential research, creative, and technical skills that will support their academic growth and prepare them for future scholarly, professional, and creative endeavors.

The SHARE Apprenticeship Program facilitates opportunities for undergraduates majoring in social sciences, humanities, and arts disciplines to work closely with a faculty mentor on a virtual research or creative project over the summer. These apprenticeships are designed to give students hands-on experience in scholarly or creative work, fostering skill development, and professional growth.
