We invite undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and staff to submit workshop proposals for the 2026 First Gen Summit. Held April 18th
This summit is designed to empower first-generation students to move from surviving systems not built for them to thriving as confident leaders, professionals, and change-makers. Through storytelling, skill-building, and community, the summit will help students leave with greater clarity, pride in their identity, and a roadmap for what comes next.
We are seeking presenters who are interested in sharing their experiences, research, or strategies that support the success of first-generation college students.
Session Themes include:
Life after graduation (careers, graduate school, financial literacy, networking)
Personal development and wellbeing (identity, belonging, mental health, imposter syndrome)
Leadership and engagement (research, student involvement, mentorship, civic engagement)
