  • Request For Proposals, First Gen Conference

    We invite undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and staff to submit workshop proposals for the 2026 First Gen Summit. Held April 18th 
    This summit is designed to empower first-generation students to move from surviving systems not built for them to thriving as confident leaders, professionals, and change-makers. Through storytelling, skill-building, and community, the summit will help students leave with greater clarity, pride in their identity, and a roadmap for what comes next.
    We are seeking presenters who are interested in sharing their experiences, research, or strategies that support the success of first-generation college students.
    Session Themes include:
    • Life after graduation (careers, graduate school, financial literacy, networking)
    • Personal development and wellbeing (identity, belonging, mental health, imposter syndrome)
    • Leadership and engagement (research, student involvement, mentorship, civic engagement)
    Session Options
    • 45-minute full session, or
    • 20-minute presentation paired with another presenter.
