Dr Amelia Magistrali, the UConn Extension Educator in Soil Health, will facilitate a webinar focused on using organic amendments, particularly in the context of raised bed production systems. Attendees will learn how to choose and evaluate soil, compost, and potting mix materials, as well as how to safely and effectively use organic amendments such as bloodmeal, bonemeal, fish emulsion, and azomite. The session will also cover how to use soil test results to determine appropriate fertilizer and amendment application rates. Practical examples and time for questions will be included to help participants gain confidence in decision-making.
