The comedian Steven Wright said, “It’s a small world, but I wouldn’t want to paint it.”
Lucky for us, John Bailey ’84 (SFA) has illustrated posters for 13 of UConn’s 200 Experiential Global Learning programs.
A new Lakeside Gallery exhibition, “Change Your World: Selected illustrations for the Experiential Global Learning poster series, 2020-2025,” showcases the artwork of eight of the posters, marking their first appearance together.
Bailey, a senior graphic designer, and Peter Morenus, university photographer and Lakeside Gallery curator, chose the finalists based on geography and how they “interacted” on the wall.
The posters represent EGL programs in:
- Shanghai, China
- Prague, Czech Republic
- Perugia, Italy
- Auckland, New Zealand
- Lisbon, Portugal
- Cape Town, South Africa
- Seoul, South Korea
- Granada, Spain
