Zooming in on Undergraduate Student Well‑being
March 11th, 9am-12pm, SU304
An interactive look at the data, the stories, and the student voices shaping campus life.
As university staff, you see firsthand how student well‑being impacts learning, engagement, and community life. This symposium offers a meaningful opportunity to deepen that understanding by exploring the latest SERU (Student Experience in the Research University) survey findings side‑by‑side with the lived experiences of UConn undergraduates.
In this highly interactive session, participants will not only examine the data but also hear directly from students—and even more importantly, students will have space to share their own stories, reflections, and ideas. You’ll gain a fuller, more nuanced picture of what students are navigating academically, socially, and personally.
Why you should attend:
- Get a clear, accessible look at the SERU data that often informs policy and programming
- Hear authentic student narratives that bring quantitative findings to life
- Strengthen your capacity for mindful listening and student‑centered engagement
- Build insight that can guide more responsive services, programs, and support strategies
Why encourage your students to participate:
- Students finally get to see the results behind the surveys they complete
- They help determine which data points matter most to explore
- They have the opportunity to connect their own stories and experiences to the findings
- The interactive format empowers them to shape conversations that influence real change
This symposium creates a shared space for students and staff alike to understand campus well‑being more deeply—and to elevate the voices that need to be heard.
Join us to listen, learn, and help strengthen the UConn undergraduate experience through empathy‑driven insight.
