Student Activities

  • Neuropolicy Grant Writing Support

The Neuropolicy Grant Writing Program pairs undergraduate students with UConn faculty to support funding proposals across disciplines. Students are matched to professors based on academic background and research interests, and both students and faculty are screened prior to matching. Faculty will have the opportunity to review a prospective student’s résumé before confirming a match. This service is being offered free of charge and students are volunteering their time.

Participating students will receive structured training in grant writing. While most students will not have prior grant-writing experience, they will be mentored and supported throughout the process and can contribute meaningfully to literature review, drafting, and revision. Depending on faculty needs, support can range from a single application to multiple or more extensive submissions. There is also the opportunity to continue working with the same student into the fall semester if the partnership is successful. The final opt-in deadline is February 20th and student matches will be confirmed by February 23rd.

Faculty are encouraged to indicate their specific needs, including research focus, biographical background, and desired level of support, to ensure an effective match.
