    Seminar Title: “The Javelin MPS Platform: A Mechanistic Approach for Evaluating Human-Specific Pharmacology for Therapeutic Modalities”

    Dr. Murat Cirit is the CEO and Co-Founder of Javelin Biotech, bringing extensive experience from previous roles at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Merrimack Pharmaceuticals, and North Carolina State University. He is an inventor and entrepreneur specializing in tissue chip and digital twin technologies and is widely recognized for his innovative work in developing predictive platforms for drug discovery.

    Dr. Cirit’s expertise is rooted in bioengineering and computational biology and is complemented by deep hands-on experience in translational research. He possesses a robust, interdisciplinary skill set encompassing computational biology, systems biology, cell biology, and signal transduction, along with extensive experience in experimental techniques such as Western blotting. By integrating bioengineering principles with computational modeling, he develops translational and predictive platforms that effectively bridge experimental biology and clinical relevance.

    He served as the founding Principal Investigator of the Translational Center of Tissue Chip Technologies (TC2T) and as Co-Principal Investigator on the DARPA-funded Microphysiological Systems (MPS) program at MIT. His work continues to advance cutting-edge technologies that are reshaping the future of drug discovery and development.
