  • Employee and Spousal Tuition Waiver: Spring 2026

    A waiver of tuition or a partial waiver of credit fees equivalent to tuition is available to most UCPEA and Managerial/Confidential employees on a space available basis for all undergraduate and many graduate courses taken at the University of Connecticut.   A waiver of tuition for undergraduate courses taken at the University of Connecticut is available to AFSCME employees.  Program details and exclusions are available on the following site - https://hr.uconn.edu/tuition-benefits/

    A waiver of tuition is extended to the legal spouses of most AAUP, Law School Faculty, and Managerial/Confidential employees on a space available basis for undergraduate courses taken at the University of Connecticut.  Program details and exclusions are available on the following site - https://hr.uconn.edu/tuition-benefits/

    Beginning on Tuesday, January 20th, 2026 and continuing through the 10th day of classes, eligible employees can submit a tuition waiver application through an online platform.

    Since the tuition waiver program is granted on a space-available basis, which is determined on the first (tuition-based programs) or second day of classes (fee-based programs), students should not register in advance for classes, as doing so will jeopardize waiver eligibility.  However, students will need to register on or after January 20th, but before launching the waiver request.  

    If you plan to request a flexible work schedule for the spring 2026 semester, we encourage you to discuss your request with your manager in advance.
