Faculty and staff should save the date for the return of the Winter Holiday Celebration and Gingerbread House Decorating Competition on THURSDAY, DECEMBER 11, 2025. The event will take place 2:00 - 4:00 pm in Rome Commons Ballroom, Storrs Campus. During the event twenty teams will compete in a Gingerbread House Decorating Competition.
Enter the Lottery to Participate in the Gingerbread House Decorating Competition
Faculty and staff may enter a team into a lottery for a chance to participate in the Gingerbread House Decorating Competition. The theme of this year's competition is Gingerbread Time Machine: Decorate your Decade. Select your favorite decade – past, present or future – and show us your best sugary interpretation during the one-hour competition.
Enter the competition lottery by Friday, November 28. The teams selected to participate will be posted to the event's website, winterholidaycelebration on Monday, December 1.
