It is challenging to develop consistent teaching evaluation practices that draw on multiple voices (student, peer, self) to reward effective teaching. What decisions would need to be made to improve Assessment of Teaching Excellence (ATE) practices regardless of where units start from? Participants will explore what makes teaching evaluation robust and equitable and consider a planning tool that outlines concrete goals to advance ATE practices departments at research-intensive institutions.
