Apple and Dell devices will now arrive pre-tagged with a UConn asset label. Vendors will email Inventory Control the necessary data to create Controllable Property (CP) assets in KFS. Initially, the user’s NetID and name will be obtained from the purchase order. Once the device connects to the UConn network, the system will automatically update the asset record with the current user’s NetID, Name, and the latest “Date Last Found.”
To ensure a smooth process, Fiscal Officers are encouraged to expedite approvals so that asset records can be promptly created in KFS.
