  • Streamlined BRANY Procedures

Please note the following important update to BRANY IRB procedures.

BRANY IRB has streamlined its review process. Only the PI and any study team members with a conflict of interest (COI) need to be listed on BRANY IRB applications, and only those individuals need to provide documentation of human subjects protection training and, as applicable, a COI disclosure and UConn-approved COI Management Plan.  BRANY will continue to review PI and COI-related personnel changes only.

At UConn, the IRB Office will continue to verify CITI training and review COIs for all UConn study personnel. All personnel changes, including changes to the PI and those related to COI, must be submitted to the UConn IRB Office via InfoEd and be approved or acknowledged before personnel engage in any research activities on the study.

Please contact UConn IRB Reliance with any questions.
