  • Seeking Participants for Study of Attention

    What is this study about?

    This study aims to investigate attention function and dysfunction experienced by individuals with depression/anxiety symptoms.

     

    You may be eligible to participate if:

    • Age 18-35
    • You experience difficulty concentrating or maintaining focused attention
    • You experience mild, moderate, or severe symptoms of anxiety or depression (no formal diagnosis required)

     

    What would I have to do?

    This study will take place at UConn’s Brain Imaging Research Center (BIRC) on the Storrs campus. There will be a one-time session where you will be asked to complete questionnaires about attention, life experiences, and depression/anxiety symptoms. Additionally, you will be asked to complete an MRI scan, where you will engage in several visual attention tasks. Your participation will take approximately 3 to 3.5 hours total.

     

    Will I be compensated?

    Yes, you will receive $100 and a photo of your brain for your participation.
