On Tuesday, October 7, 2025 from 5:30-8:00pm, The Connecticut State Department of Education’s Office of Dyslexia and Reading Disabilities has partnered with agencies from across the state to advance the 2025-2026 Dyslexia Awareness Collaborative.
The campaign features a series of coordinated activities designed to promote awareness and a shared understanding of dyslexia, with the goal of ensuring equitable student identification and support.
Guest Speakers at the event are Deon L. Butler, former NFL athlete, motivational speaker, and author and Dr. Fumiko Hoeft, physician and neuroscientist, Campus Dean and CAO of UConn Waterbury.
