We are excited to announce that University Events & Conference Services (UECS) will become part of the Department of Dining Services in the Division of Student Life & Enrollment. This strategic alignment reflects the University’s commitment to shared services, operational efficiency, and sustainable revenue growth.
Through this collaboration, we aim to create a more dynamic and cohesive approach to attracting new business, expanding third-party space usage, and launching innovative initiatives in conference and event management.
Importantly, UECS’s current services will remain unchanged. Rather than replacing existing functions, UECS will complement and enhance the broad portfolio of Dining Services, which includes Residential Dining, Retail, Regional Operations, University Catering, Procurement, Commissary, and Bakery operations.
This integration presents a valuable opportunity to align resources, unite stakeholders, and advance a shared vision. To ensure a smooth transition, collaboration and the removal of internal barriers will be essential. Over the course of the semester, we will work closely with partners across the University to identify challenges and co-develop solutions that move us forward.
