The next Career Progression application window is now open and will close on Tuesday, September 30th.
Please Note: The Career Progression Application Form does not have built-in logic to determine eligibility. While the form may allow you to initiate the process, that does not necessarily mean you meet the eligibility requirements. Eligibility is determined separately based on the established criteria on the , not by the application form itself.
IMPORTANT REMINDERS FOR THIS APPLICATION PERIOD:
- Career Progression Conversations:
- Supervisors should continually hold conversations with their staff regarding the employees’ progress through the established competencies stated in their respective frameworks.
- Supervisors should inform employees submitting applications whom to enter as the Manager Outside of any Bargaining Unit.
- Note: Supervisors should additionally continue to work with their HR Associate on updating frameworks based on the new requirements or as needed.
- Supervisors will have an opportunity to review an employee’s application and provide a disposition through the Kuali Build workflow.
- Supervisors must evaluate and determine if an employee has successfully demonstrated achievement of all competencies for that rank, as defined by the framework.
- As announced on August 12th, salary increases tied to career progression will not be approved for the September 2025 period. Eligible employees are encouraged to apply. Supervisors and managers will review and evaluate all applications, and any that meet the advancement criteria will be held for processing in the March 2026 or subsequent application period when the fiscal situation improves. These applications will not need to be resubmitted.
- Timeline for Communication:
- Human Resources anticipates notifying employees and supervisors of application outcomes on or around November 7th.
