The research aim is compare the impact of a sunscreen lotion product on the skin’s ability to maintain normal thermoregulatory functions during activity in the heat. Additionally, for females we will compare the effectiveness of a mobile cooling vestibule versus cooling under hot and temperate environmental conditions to reduce core body temperature.

Information from this study will contribute to improvements and advancements in health and skincare recommendations.

You may be eligible to participate if:

    1. You are physically active and between 18-45 years old

For the study, you will be asked to meet research staff at the Mission Heat Lab in the Department of Kinesiology at Gampel Pavilion in Storrs, CT for 3 baseline visits (about 1-2 hours each) and 4 research trials (about 3.5 hours each).

Upon completion of the study, you will compensated based on the number of trials completed.

Note: withdrawal from study may result in loss of eligibility for the incentives.
