Research, Funding, and Awards

  • ALERT: OVPR Resources for Researchers

Due to the changing federally funded landscape, and subsequent state and federal budget cuts, UConn OVPR has aggregated resources to help UConn researchers navigate the complex consequences.

    1) FEDERAL RESEARCH FUNDING FAQ: The purpose of this site is to provide the UConn research community with information related to the current and evolving federal research funding landscape. UConn’s Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR) is closely monitoring developments and sponsor guidance and will regularly update this site with any changes.  https://research.uconn.edu/communications-resources/

    2) EMERGE (UConn Emergency Research Grant Expenditure (EMERGE) Program): The University of Connecticut EMERGE Program provides short-term (<12 months) essential support when external funding for an investigator has been interrupted due to circumstances (broadly related to recent changes in federal policies and priorities) beyond the investigator’s control. https://ovpr.uconn.edu/services/research-development/uconn-emergency-research-grant-expenditure-emerge-program/

    3) IMPACT PAGE: UConn and UConn Health Research generates measurable impact—leading to policy change, global collaboration, breakthrough innovation, and community transformation. The OVPR has created this composite of resources to draw attention to the important impact of our work. This portal is for exploring impact stories that have been gathered and for faculty to share their own impact stories. https://research.uconn.edu/impact/
