  • Enrolling Bilingual Participants 18-35

    English-Spanish bilinguals are needed to participate in a research study investigating how listeners hear speech sounds. 

    Participants will listen to speech sounds in Spanish and English, view pictures along with the speech sounds, and make decisions about them. We may also have you complete a questionnaire. 

    The study consists of only one session, which lasts for about 1.5 hours. 

    Requirements: 

    If interested in participating, you must: 

    1. Be between 18 and 35 years of age 

    2. Be able to have a comfortable conversation in English and in Spanish 

    3. Have normal or corrected-to-normal vision 

    4. Have no hearing disorders or language impairments

    This research is conducted under the direction of Dr. Emily Myers, Speech Language and Hearing Sciences/Psychological Sciences. This study was approved by the UConn IRB, protocol X24–0247.
