WISHfest, presented by UConn Waterbury in partnership with the City of Waterbury and Waterbury Public Schools, returns on Friday, March 28, 2025, celebrating innovation, sustainability, and health. Kicking off at the Palace Theater (9:00–11:00 a.m.), the event features keynote speaker Jack Horner, renowned paleontologist and Jurassic Park advisor, alongside Miss Connecticut 2024 Shavana Clarke, mental health advocate, and Dr. Sally Reis, UConn expert in gifted education. A panel discussion on neurodiversity and innovation follows, moderated by UConn Waterbury Dean Fumiko Hoeft. Hands-on learning and career exploration continue at UConn Waterbury (11:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m.), with interactive exhibits and industry-led sessions.
