Hacking the VALUE Rubrics: Tips and Tricks for Making the VALUE Rubrics Work for You, Your Students, and Your Institution
“CCC, CETL, and OAPA are thrilled to be hosting the AAC&U to provide “Hacking the VALUE Rubrics: Tips and Tricks for Making the VALUE Rubrics Work for You, Your Students, and Your Institution”. This day-long training will empower participants to use rubrics in their classrooms and/or programs by discussing rubric best practices and how to customize VALUE rubrics for UConn-specific purposes. This workshop will allow participants to discover how we design assessment practices for meaningful, authentic, and impactful assessment. We will spend time exploring the process of articulating clear, measurable course, program, and institutional assessment goals and alignment between individual course assignments and rubric dimensions. Participants will gain practical tools and strategies to enhance coherence between course assignments, course objectives, program objectives, and assessment criteria.
The training will take place on Friday, May 9th from 8:30am to 4pm.
**Note for participants: Please bring 2-3 complete assignments that you can use during our time together to align it with the Written Communication VALUE Rubric. To register for the workshop please use the link here.”
