    12-1 pm

Join us for our first webinar for the Conservation in CT winter webinar series. There is a recognition of the importance of urban forest benefits for all urban inhabitants, especially for mitigating environmental injustices and improving the quality of life for vulnerable communities. Working together with UConn Extension in urban and community forestry, UConn NRE and DEEP CT, we developed and tested a method for better engaging and connecting vulnerable communities in CT to urban forests through the co-production of knowledge built by neighborhood scale environmental data, stakeholder discussions and community member discussions separately on their needs and challenges as communities and on their interest on urban forests and greening more broadly. This presentation will show the details of the method and some of the learnings from its implementation.
