Learn the basic principles of geographic information systems (GIS) and make your own map! This workshop will introduce the fundamental skills of geospatial visualization using ArcGIS online.
When: Two sessions available | February 25th, 2:30pm - 4:00pm -or- Thursday, February 27th, 1:00pm - 2:30pm
Where: Homer Babbidge Library, HBL 1136 (both days)
This workshop includes:
- An overview of the fundamentals of GIS, spatial analysis, and visualization.
- A demonstration of ArcGIS Online, including how to add layers, modify symbology, and filter data.
- Resources for learning more about GIS at UConn.
- A self-guided tutorial for making maps using ArcGIS Online, and tutorial lab time.
