Join Cena y Ciencias (Dinner & Science) to bring fun science activities to Spanish-speaking families in Hartford!
Each event will highlight a Latine faculty scientist and feature activities themed around their research.
Our first event is on Tuesday February 4th from 3:30-6pm at the Burns Latino Studies Academy. The theme is the “Building Blocks of Life.” As a volunteer, you will enjoy free dinner with the participating families before jumping into some hands-on activities. You’ll help participants extract DNA from strawberries and solve a DNA -> RNA -> amino acid puzzle.
Sign up to volunteer / join our email list here!
Note: All are welcome – being bilingual is not a requirement.
