AlcoholEdu Part 2 due Nov. 3rd - MANDATORY for all First Year & Transfer Students
AlcoholEdu is a university-wide required online alcohol education program for incoming students. Through this course, students are able to get valuable knowledge about alcohol and its physiological effects, explore campus trends and correct their often inaccurate perceptions about use, and learn risk-reduction strategies to help them navigate their college experience.
- Students should have completed Part 1 of the course during the summer before they arrived on campus.
- Part 2 of the course is completed at least 45 days after the student completed Part 1.
- Students will start to receive an email inviting them to take Part 2 of the course. Unlike Part 1, Part 2 only takes about 15 minutes to complete.
- This course is integral to providing our students with baseline knowledge around a critical issue that they will all face, whether they choose to drink or not.
- The final deadline for taking Part 2 is November 3rd, 2014.
- If you could remind your students to complete Part 2 of AlcoholEdu, we anticipate that it will have a significant impact on the completion rate of the incoming class.
- Students who complete Part 2 by the deadline will be entered into a drawing to win one of four $50 gift cards to the UConn Co-op.
- Students can find information and instructions for completing AlcoholEdu by visiting www.alcoholedu.uconn.edu.
We appreciate your help in promoting the health, safety and wellness of your students by reminding them to complete this important and educational requirement.
