Please join the OVPR as we congratulate and wish great success to Karen Moré, who is leaving UConn after more than two decades of dedication and leadership in Research Integrity and Compliance. In early October, Karen will begin her new role as Assistant Vice Chancellor for Research Compliance at UMass-Amherst. Her last day will be Sept. 30.
Over the course of her career, Karen guided the research community in a variety of capacities, most recently as Director of Research Compliance—Animal Research and Safety. In that role, she had operational oversight of animal research (IACUC, IBC, Stem Cell), and animal care (CCM and ACS) and was responsible for conduct of research and Environmental Health and Safety (UCH). She will be greatly missed across the UConn community for her collegiality and expertise. We thank her for her excellent service to the University.
Please join us in wishing Karen well in her new position at an Open House on Monday, Sept. 30 from 3-5 p.m. in the Giolas Conference Room on the 2nd floor of the Whetten Building on the Storrs Campus. Please RSVP to ovprhr@uconn.edu
