Seminar Title: Low Complexity Protein Domain Assembly In RNA Granules & Intermediate Filaments
PBB 131
Wednesday October 2nd, 2024, from 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm
Dr. Dylan Murray is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Molecular & Cell Biology at UConn. His research focuses on molecular mechanisms for macroscopic organization in cells. His current projects include RNA granule formation and aggregation in neurodegenerative disease; intermediate filament assembly and defects associated with cancers and pediatric disorders; and the structure of the plant cell wall with applications for engineering fossil fuel alternatives and drought tolerance. He earned his doctorate degree in molecular biophysics from Florida State University and worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the National Institutes of Health.
