A waiver of tuition or a partial waiver of credit fees equivalent to tuition is available to most UCPEA and Managerial/Confidential employees on a space available basis for all undergraduate and many graduate courses taken at the University of Connecticut. A waiver of tuition for undergraduate courses taken at the University of Connecticut is available to AFSCME employees. A waiver of tuition is extended to the legal spouses of most AAUP, Law School Faculty, and Managerial/Confidential employees on a space available basis for undergraduate courses taken at the University of Connecticut. Beginning on August 26, 2024 and continuing through the 10th day of classes, eligible employees can submit a tuition waiver application using the online portal – https://leap-prod2.its.uconn.edu/apps/secure/org/app/5af486f2-d9a1-44b3-8b5c-2330e636b049/launch/index.html?form=F_Waiver
Since the tuition waiver program is granted on a space-available basis, which is determined on the first (tuition-based programs) or second day of classes (fee-based programs), students should not register in advance for classes, as doing so will jeopardize waiver eligibility. However, students will need to register on or after August 26th, but before launching the waiver request.
