  • Seeking Human Participants

    We are recruiting 18–49-year-old women who identify as Black or Hispanic/Latina, multiracial (including Black or Hispanic) for a research study to learn about factors that influence sleep among Black and Hispanic womenParticipation involves completing surveys, wearing a sleep monitoring wristwatch for 2 weeks and a one-night sleep study at home (wearing a small sleep monitoring device on your forehead with belts around your chest and abdomen while you sleep). The surveys will consist of questions about your physical and mental health, sleep, factors that influence your sleep, and your demographic characteristics. 

    Participants will receive up to $150 for completing the study. Further, if you are invited to participate in a 45-minute online interview you will be compensated an additional $50. This study will be completed online and at home. This study was approved by the IRB, Protocol H22-0126. 

    Criteria: 

    • Identify as a Black/Hispanic/Latina/multiracial/multiethnic woman 

    • Not currently pregnant or caring for a child under 1year old 

    • 18-49 years of age 

    • Not previously diagnosed by a health care provider with a sleep disorder or being treated for a sleep disorder
