Older Adult Volunteers Wanted for a Research Study of Speech and Language
Learning and adapting to novel speech sounds
Older adult volunteers are needed to participate in research study investigating how listeners hear speech sounds. Participants will listen to speech sounds and make decisions about them and may also view pictures or text along with the speech sounds. We may also have you perform a hearing test and tests of some cognitive functions.
The study will last between 10 and 70 minutes per session. Participants may become eligible to participate in multiple research sessions.
Requirements: If interested in participating, you must:
1. Be between 60 and 90 years of age
2. Be a native speaker of North American English
3. Have normal or corrected-to normal vision
4. Have no history of neurological impairment (e.g., stroke)
