  • UConn Connects Mentors Needed for Fall

Please join us in the Academic Achievement Center to learn more about becoming a mentor for the  UConn Connects program!

With over 30 years of supporting student success, the UConn Connects program is designed to assist students on academic probation or who are seeking additional support at UConn, through mentorship over a semester.

Choose from two upcoming info session dates:
Tuesday, June 25 or Thursday, July 18
    Time: Noon-1 p.m.
    Location: AAC, Rowe 217
    Bring your lunch-dessert provided!

Staff and Faculty at UConn are a critical part of the Connects mentor community because of their ability to:

    • Share their own life experiences
    • Assist students in navigating college life beyond academics
    • Relate to our diverse student population
    • Build a network of support at UConn to help them succeed!

As a result of our program, the UConn Connects participants have an 85% continuation rate at the University, demonstrating that mentorship is instrumental in changing the lives of students who struggle at UConn. Beyond the immediate benefit of returning to good standing, the impact for students includes milestones such as graduation, seeking opportunities to continue their journeys in graduate and professional programs, as well as becoming mentors to students like themselves at UConn and beyond.
