  • Wellbeing Study: Recruiting 65+ Years Old Adults

Are you above 65 years old?

You are invited to participate in a research study investigating the associations between daily activities and well-being. Participation involves a 1-hour in-person session and wearing an audio recording device for 8 hours a day for 4 days (2 weekdays and 2 weekend days). The in-person session will involve completing a breath counting task, looking at images of different facial expressions, and completing a survey about your mood, thoughts, well-being, feelings, and demographics. The in-person session should take around one hour and will be completed on the University of Connecticut Storrs campus. The audio recording device is lightweight (3 oz.) and worn in a wallet. Participants will have the opportunity to listen to recordings and delete any recordings.

    Who is eligible?

    • Must be older than 65 years old
    • Fluent in English

All participants will receive up to $120 for completing the study. This study is approved by the University of Connecticut IRB (protocol # H22-0165). Parking for all visits is free.
