Over the coming semesters, UConn faculty and instructors will need to transition to using Ultra Course View (aka “Ultra”), which is Blackboard/HuskyCT’s new and modernized course experience.
Starting in Fall 2024, all 1000-2000 level academic courses will need to use Ultra
Starting in Fall 2025, ALL university courses including graduate courses will need to use Ultra.
As part of UConn’s ongoing training and support for faculty, CETL and the Educational Technologies Office is hosting an in-person, hands-on training and work session on Blackboard Ultra.
Please note that given the hands-on workshop modality of this session, there will not be a virtual/remote attendance option.
This interactive 3-hour session will include:
- Overview training on Ultra navigation/features and best practices for Ultra course conversion and updating course organization and design elements.
- Complimentary lunch
- Dedicated time for attendees to work on their course with the assistance of available CETL support staff.
Participants should come prepared with at least one of the following:
- A clear idea of which course(s) they intend to transition and teach in Ultra Course View for Fall 2024 AND have at least one UCV course shell in HuskyCT
OR
- Have already converted their Fall 2024 course into the Ultra Course View with a need to learn how to reorganize/clean-up content.
