    2024 Healthcare Open Enrollment

     

    The annual Health Insurance Open Enrollment period for state of Connecticut employees will be held from May 1, 2024, through May 31, 2024. Any changes made during Open Enrollment will be effective July 1, 2024.

    The Comptroller’s Open Enrollment notification contains links to access information about the plans, rates, and changes for the upcoming year. 

    No action is required if you wish to remain enrolled in your current coverage; your current elections will automatically continue.   

    • A summary of your current health plans/coverages can be viewed on the Core -CT home page > Benefits > Benefits Summary 

     

     

    Helpful Tools/Resources

    • New Member ID Cards will be mailed by the carrier to those who make a Medical and/or Dental plan change, or add a new dependent to coverage, by 7/1.
    • Employees will have access to a personalized benefits portal - https://carecompass.ct.gov/
    • Quantum Health Care Coordinators are available at (833) 740-3258 to answer questions regarding the benefit plans and the Health Enhancement Program (HEP). 

     

    Making Changes

    • During open enrollment, you may:
      • change medical and/or dental plans
      • add or drop coverage for your eligible family members
      • enroll if you previously waived coverage
      • enroll in the Health Enhancement Program (HEP) if you previously waived enrollment 
    • Employees who wish to make changes during this open enrollment period may enter changes directly in CORE-CT until May 31, 2024. Again, no action is required if you wish to remain enrolled in your current coverage; your current elections will automatically continue.  Please do not click ‘select’ on the Open Enrollment Event unless you intend to make changes.
    • Instructions for entering changes and uploading supporting proof documentation into CORE-CT are available in the Open Enrollment Job Aid.
    • If a dependent is being added to insurance a copy of supporting documentation (i.e. marriage license, long form birth certificate, etc.) is also required and must be uploaded directly into CORE-CT at the time changes are entered.
