  • 5/8 Data Management and Sharing Plans Workshop

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Data Management and Sharing (DMS) Policy - mandating the submission of data management plans (DMSPs) with grant proposals and the sharing of the project's scientific data - went into effect on January 25, 2023. This policy applies to all research, that is funded or conducted in whole or in part by the NIH, and results in the generation of scientific data.

Academic IT Services (AITS) is offering a hands-on training session on the DMPTool, a free, open-source, online application that provides a click-through wizard for creating a DMSP that complies with funder requirements. The class will also introduce research associates to the AITS DMS Website and provide guidance for navigating the plethora of on-line resources associated with data management.

Register for the May 8th session here; seating is limited.

Classes will be offered via Teams and in person at the Farmington Campus. Separate sessions will be scheduled for UConn Associates on an as needed basis.

Classes will be held monthly. Register for a future session.
