  • Leadership Training for Supervisors and Managers

    Human Resources has an opportunity for supervisors and managers to receive holistic leadership training on self-reflection (“being a leader”) and skill implementation (“leading”).

    Human Resources has partnered with Transformative Leadership Strategies (TLS) to offer in-person training on the Storrs campus that will cover the following leadership topics: Leadership 101; Core Values; Emotional Intelligence; Creating Balance; Communicate to Drive Action; Being a ‘Coach-like’ Leader; Give Constructive Feedback; and Build Team Trust.

    We recommend this training for both new and experienced supervisors and managers who have an interest in honing their leadership skills.

    TLS will offer two cohorts of the training in four three-hour sessions. There is a limit of 25 participants per cohort. The total cost to participate is $296 per person. Registration will close on April 23rd. To register, please complete this Kuali Form: https://uconn.kualibuild.com/app/66104c94ec1bcf013ba48e86/run. The form will route to the employee’s supervisor for approval and a KFS#.

    Cohort 1 (All Sessions from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.)

    • Session 4: Wednesday, May 15th

    Cohort 2 (All Sessions from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.)

    • Session 3: Tuesday, May 14th
    • Session 4: Wednesday, May 15th

    If demand for future cohorts is high, we will work to schedule more trainings (including cyclical trainings with each semester).
