  • 3/20 Help Improve the Well-being of LBPQQ Students

Do you work closely with students who identify as Lesbian, Bisexual, Pansexual, Queer or Questioning? If so, we need your help!

A group of staff members from the Division of Student Life and Enrollment are engaged in a health equity project to improve the well-being of UConn students who identify as Lesbian, Bisexual, Pansexual, Queer, or Questioning.  In addition to conducting interviews and focus groups with students, we’d like to connect with staff and faculty members who work closely with this student population.  We’re interested in learning more about the strengths and assets of this student community, as well as the areas where university norms, structures, or processes may be inhibiting their ability to thrive on our campus.  We’ll be holding some time Wednesday, 3/20/24, for staff & faculty to drop into the Rainbow Center (Student Union 403) from 2-4pm to share their insights with project team members.

Have questions or want a calendar reminder? Email Emily Pagano, Assistant Director of Health Promotion and Community Impact (Student Health and Wellness), at Emily.Pagano@uconn.edu.  For those interested in contributing to the project but not able to make drop-in hours, please reach out and we’ll schedule an alternative time to connect.
