  • Research: Adolescents (12-18) with Hearing Loss

    Are you an adolescent with hearing loss?
    Your voice matters, and we want to hear your story!
     
    **Exploring Listening Efforts in Adolescents with Hearing Loss **
     
    About the Study--
    We invite adolescents (aged 12-18) with hearing loss to participate in our research study. Our
    study focuses on understanding the challenges and experiences related to listening effort in
    daily life. Your insights can make a significant impact!
     
    Looking for –
    - Children between the ages of 12- 18 years old.
    - Diagnosed hearing difference for at least one calendar year.
    - English as a first language
    - Not actively enrolled as a UCONN student.
     
    Participation Involves--
    - Interview: Share your experiences and challenges related to listening effort.
    - Time Commitment: The interview will take approximately 1 hour to 1 hour and 20 minutes.
    - Location: Interviews will be conducted in person at UConn Speech and Hearing Clinic
     
    Why Participate? --
    Your valuable input will contribute to a better understanding of the unique needs and
    challenges adolescents with hearing loss face. This research can lead to improved support and
    solutions for the hearing-loss community.
