The University of Connecticut is excited to announce the relaunch of our "Swap Shop" this fall, and we're on the lookout for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable advisor to guide this sustainable initiative. The Swap Shop is an innovative program designed to promote sustainability and environmental responsibility within the UConn community.
This unique store operates on a model of an on campus thrift store, allowing students and staff to swap their gently used apparel for something new-to-them. It's a fantastic way to reduce waste, support a circular economy, and encourage a culture of reuse. As our Advisor, you will play a crucial role in managing the shop's operations, organizing exchange events, and fostering a community committed to sustainable fashion.
