  • Enrolling Participants: Pediatric Audiology Study

Volunteers ages 3 to 7 years old wanted for an audiology speech test study

The purpose of this study is to assess how recognizable words and pictures in the Word Intelligibility by Picture Identification (WIPI) test are for children in 2023. Volunteers will be asked to point to pictures which correspond with words. We will be assessing the familiarity of 150 words for each participant. Testing should take no longer than an hour.

Volunteers are eligible if they meet the following criteria:

    - Are children between the ages of 3 and 7

    - Have normal hearing

    - Have no known speech, language, or reading difficulties

    - Are native English speakers

Participants in this study will receive a free hearing screening. Participants will be rewarded for their involvement with a small toy.
