The Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR) is currently accepting faculty submissions for the SHARE Virtual Summer Research Apprenticeship Program.
The SHARE program facilitates opportunities for early career undergraduates majoring in social sciences, humanities, and arts disciplines to work closely with a faculty mentor in those disciplines on a virtual research project over the summer. This program provides opportunities for early career students with little or no prior experience to develop foundational research skills and to establish mentoring relationships. The program also provides pathways for underrepresented and 1st generation students, and students with financial need, to engage in research under a faculty mentor.

Funding:
Faculty mentors receive a $500 professional development stipend in recognition of their mentorship. Student apprentices can earn up to $1,400 paid out as hourly wages by the Office of Undergraduate Research to support approximately 90 hours of remote project work over the course of the summer.

The deadline for faculty to submit an apprenticeship is Friday, February 23, 2024. Students can begin applying in early March 2024.
